Fresh Finds for You

Hopi "Polik Mana" Kachina by Hopi Artist Virgil Long - 10.5in
$209.99

Hopi kachina dolls are traditional wooden carvings made by the Hopi people of northeastern Arizona to represent Katsinam, immortal spirit beings.

Virgil Long is a contemporary Hopi Katsina carver known for his clean, precise sculptural style and careful attention to detail. He follows traditional methods, carving figures from cottonwood root (paako) and finishing them with hand-painted details. We purchase our Kachina dolls directly from Virgil, removing the need for a trading company and maximizing the artists’ compensation.

Polik-mana (Butterfly Maiden) is a Hopi kachina who dances each spring, pollinating plants and bringing life-giving rain to the Arizona desert. She appears as a woman dancer in the annual Butterfly Dance, a traditional Hopi girls’ initiation rite. This Kachina is 10.5 inches tall.

Navajo Kachina "Kokopelli" by Navajo Artist Debbie James - 10in
$99.99

Navajo did not traditionally have a Kachina culture. However, in the 20th century, Navajo artisans began crafting their own version of these figures. Rather than being used for religious ceremonies, Navajo-crafted dolls are created as highly decorative works of art.

Debbie James is a skilled Navajo artisan recognized for handcrafting vibrant, highly detailed Southwestern Kachina dolls

This Kachina depicts the Kokopelli. The Kokopelli is an ancient Native American fertility deity and trickster figure often depicted as a humpbacked flute player. In Southwestern culture, he symbolizes abundance, joy, and agricultural fertility, traditionally believed to bring rain and a bountiful harvest wherever he plays his music.

This Kachina Doll is 10 inches tall.

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise flat bead necklace by Navajo Artist Alice Tso
$229.99

Turquoise, known as Dootłʼizh in Navajo, holds deep spiritual and cultural significance as a sacred stone that represents protection, health, and a connection to the divine.

Mined near Globe, Arizona, Sleeping Beauty turquoise is world-renowned for its iconic robin's-egg or sky-blue hue and its distinct lack of heavy host-rock veining

This necklace is 25 inches total in length.
